1.2 million SKUs on WooCommerce: enterprise ecommerce for Kellox
Kellox needed a WooCommerce platform that could support one of the largest product catalogs in the WooCommerce ecosystem, with ERP, PIM, dealer-specific pricing, B2B self-service and large-scale product updates. Maksimer built a highly customized WooCommerce solution that connects Kellox’s ecommerce platform with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision), PIM and the workflows that run their B2B and B2C business.
Proven at enterprise scale
- 1.2M SKUs
- 500,000 product updates at a time
- ERP integration with Microsoft Dynamics NAV
- PIM integration
- Dealer-specific pricing and product views
- B2B self-service portal
- Page load times under two seconds

Kellox, founded in 1950, is Norway’s largest importer of motorcycles, motorcycle equipment, boats and outboard motors. Their business depends on a large product catalog, a broad dealer network and accurate product information across several channels. For Kellox, ecommerce is not just a storefront. It is a business-critical platform for dealers, customers, product data, pricing, orders and operations.

The challenge: making WooCommerce work at enterprise scale
Kellox needed a platform that could support both B2B dealers and end consumers, while keeping product data, pricing and availability accurate across systems. This was not a standard WooCommerce implementation. Kellox needed WooCommerce to work as an integrated enterprise ecommerce platform, handling:
- Nearly 1.2 million SKUs
- Large product updates, with up to 500,000 updates at a time
- Integration with Microsoft Dynamics NAV
- Product data from PIM
- Dealer-specific pricing and product views
- Customer logins and B2B self-service
- Fast performance despite a very large catalog
The solution: an integrated WooCommerce platform with ERP and PIM
Maksimer built a custom WooCommerce solution integrated with Kellox’s ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, and their PIM setup. The architecture allows product data, categories, pricing, availability and customer-specific information to move between the systems Kellox depends on. WooCommerce acts as the ecommerce layer, while Microsoft Dynamics NAV and PIM continue to support core business operations.
To support the size of the catalog, Maksimer developed custom architecture, caching and data handling that lets Kellox update large parts of the catalog, up to 500,000 products at a time, without slowing down the customer experience. Dealers can log in to see relevant products, personalized pricing, order history and customer-specific information. Consumers can browse products and find dealers, while Kellox manages a large and complex product base from connected systems. For more on this pattern, see WooCommerce ERP and PIM integrations for large product catalogs.

The result: WooCommerce proven at 1.2M SKU scale
The solution gives Kellox a scalable ecommerce platform built around their actual business operations. Kellox can now manage nearly 1.2 million SKUs on WooCommerce, run bulk product updates at scale, give dealers access to customer-specific pricing and maintain page load times under two seconds despite the size of the product database.
For Maksimer, Kellox is a clear example of what enterprise WooCommerce can support when the architecture, integrations and operations are built correctly.
